| byZero powers Level Traffic - Friday, September 25, 2009
byZero Corp has entered The Cloud as a principle and technical lead in the formation of Level Traffic - a mission critical database and web hosting provider. Level Traffic's core infrastructure is a value-added implementation of clustered, load balanced AWS (Amazon Web services) EC2 Server instances complemented by a traditional hardware server monitoring network co-located in Long Island, NY.
As The Cloud has removed the hardware investment barrier to true enterprise level hardware scalability, Level Traffic seeks to fill the technical knowledge gap between the network service consumer and these advanced web services, while adding value through the configuration and administration of automated scalability, fault-tolerant load balancing, multi-location backup and disaster recovery strategies and automation.
Level Traffic has launched early Summer 2009 as a consultant-level provider, gaining dozens of clients on a custom-configuration basis.
The release of publicly accessible managed web services is scheduled for late October, and the addition of a fail-safe configured email cluster is slated for Q1 2009.

| WeDecree.Com powered byZero - Thursday, January 10, 2008byZero Corporation has undertaken the back end development for the WeDecree.com graphics generation engine, as well as the site's general functional infrastructure. WeDecree is a project of the Stray Turtle Company, and graphic design of the site is a collaboration between Stray Turtle and long-time byZero associates Mostly Liquid Productions.
Kevin Farrell of byZero comments:
The graphics engine is an interesting piece of software. The business use demands "on the fly" production of graphic images. This was readily accomplished using the .Net System.Drawing namespace. The real challenge was in managing the amount of server resources utilized in the rendering of the images to provide an acceptably fast user interface. To accommodate both the inherent server-side load of the task and produce fast rendering web pages for the user, Asynchronous client-server calls were implemented using Ajax technology.

| Hedge Fund Portfolio Management system - Monday, October 15, 2007byZero Corporation has through contractual negotiations gained the source code and distribution rights to Portfolio Manager, a sophisticated Hedge Fund holding portfolio management and analysis system. byZero originally developed Portfolio Manager through contract with one of the world’s largest private equity funds (name withheld by NDA) to manage their own in-house multi-billion dollar hedge fund holdings. The software is the product of thousands of man hours in business and technical development.
byZero’s release strategy for Portfolio Manager includes seeking partnership with an established player in the financial software sector to provide the level of distribution and support this significant financial industry software deserves..
byZero director Kevin M. Farrell comments The Portfolio Manager is a significant piece of software, not only in terms of technical architecture, but in terms of the substantial amount of business information and workflow that has been built into it. The [original] client is a major player in the Hedge Fund Space. As such, this software has been architected in a business sense by a founder of the financial product. You can’t get better than that. byZero’s arena is interpreting the business need and implementing a technical solution. For Portfolio Manager, that task is done. Now we need a top-level player in the financial Software sector to distribute the software and provide world class support. Then it’s ready to pitch to the Sac Capitols of the world. |
